For Members Only? Affinity Groups and their Role in Education\

Many of us belong to affinity groups centered on our backgrounds, interests, or demographics such as gender or ethnicity through professional organizations or through our workplaces. In education, these groups play a critical role in fostering female school leaders and leaders of color, which positively affects academic achievement and social and emotional learning for all students.

Join us on Thursday, December 8 at 3:00 PM ET for a roundtable conversation with the Executive Directors of the Association of Latino Administrators & Superintendents (ALAS) and the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE), Superintendent James Hiu of Gresham-Barlow School District who is of Asian and Pacific Island descent, and Dr. Christina Kishimoto, the CEO and Founder of Voice4Equity, dedicated to empowering women in policy leadership.
